Thaybah is one person cooking at home in limited amounts. These terms explain what reserving food here actually means.

What Thaybah is

A home kitchen, not a restaurant. One cook, cooking to order: nothing is prepared until somebody orders it. Collect during the time shown on your order, or request delivery when offered. Mr Mandoob manages delivery. The chef sends its separate price for you to approve before the order proceeds.

Your account

You need an account to order. Give a real name, a real email address and a working phone number, because the cook may need to reach you about your collection. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Reserving food

You choose a dish, answer the kitchen's questions about it, and pick a collection day no sooner than the notice that dish needs. The kitchen then accepts your order or declines it, and nothing is cooked before it is accepted. The kitchen may stop taking orders on any dish at any time.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Saudi riyals and include everything you pay. There is no card payment and no payment gateway. Normally you pay the cook in cash when you collect. The kitchen may instead ask for the amount before it cooks: your order is then held for a short time, shown on the order itself, while you transfer it in your own banking app and send back the reference or a picture of the receipt. If nothing arrives in that time the order is cancelled. The price shown when you ordered is the price you pay, even if the dish is priced differently later.

Collecting your order

Come during the pickup window and give your order code at the door. If you cannot make it, cancel in the app early enough that the kitchen does not cook it. Food that is not collected by the end of the window may not be kept.

Cancelling

You can cancel your own order in the app up to the cut-off shown there. After that, contact the kitchen directly, because the groceries have been bought and the cooking may have started. The kitchen may also cancel an order, and will tell you if it does. If you had already transferred for an order that is cancelled, contact the kitchen: there is no gateway here, so anything to be returned is sent back the same way it came.

Food, allergies and safety

Food is prepared in a private home kitchen, not a commercial one. It is not prepared in an allergen-free environment, and traces of other ingredients are possible.

If you have an allergy or an intolerance, ask the kitchen before you order and use the note field on your order. Collect your food promptly and refrigerate it if you are not eating straight away.

The menu changes

Dishes, prices and the notice each dish needs may change at any time. What binds is whatever the menu says at the moment you order.

If these terms change we will update this page and change the date at the top.
